I'm working as a special education teacher. Hoping to travel to Ireland in 2014 for the PSU football game. To the active brothers: aspire to make a unique footprint that will leave the fraternity better than when you found it.

Since my graduation in May, I have recently started a Teaching position at a charter school called Baden Academy Charter School. This job has me facilitating and helping the second grade teachers of my school throughout the day. I try to make it to PSU as many weekends as possible to "supervise" the undergrads. Can't wait for homecoming!!

I have been doing well. I have been working with a company that i enjoy and will be running a branch within 2to4 years. I wouldn't be the man today if it wasn't for Delta Upsilon and my fellow founding brothers/pledge class. My life improved drastically since pledging. I love all the brothers and I can't wait for big things to happen at 229 Locust ln.

Why did you join Delta Upsilon over other fraternities?
What song(s) best defines your college experience?
How did Delta Upsilon help make you into the man you are today?
Tell us about a brother who was a mentor or went beyond the call of duty to help you.
What's the best advice you've ever received, and from whom?
What's your greatest personal challenge to date and how did you overcome it?
Transitioning from College to the real world. It's a journey that doesn't happen in the midst of graduation. You learn some things about yourself as you venture out into the professional world that college, especially fraternal life, help to prepare you for, but nothing can take the place of actually having to balance your own career, finances, social life, family life, health and fitness, personal hobbies, and pursuit of further education, whether it be religion, a new language, science, or yourself.
What role does leadership play in a man's life?
Leadership is a mixture of so many attributes that I don't think it can be distilled to one roll. Obviously a father figure is a very powerful and hopefully prioritized leadership roll, but you can find a terrible business leader in a great father, and vise-versa. There is leadership suited for war as well as peace, for microcosms, macrocosms, and everything in between; thought fear or through love. I think the key to leadership is to finding how your specific set of virtues can be best used to create positive change in this world.
If you were walking onto the Penn State campus as a young freshman, what advice would you give to the younger you?
It sounds a bit anti-fraternal, but don't dive head first into an organization like a fraternity. It is usually done out of fear, and while it has the chance of enriching great men, can destroy weak men and make them a poison to those around them. Learn to promote inner confidence and learn as much as you can about what a university has to offer before dedicating yourself to one realm of it.
