Robert Zahradnik ‘92“I remember hanging out with my Brothers in the Egan Room, listening to mix tapes, and drinking beer. I still keep in touch with guys from the late 80s and early 90s and I try to get back to the House for Founders Day weekend when I can.

My career has focused on state and local fiscal policy. I have worked for the District of Columbia government on two different occasions, both times in offices under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. I have also worked for a several different think tanks in Washington, DC. I currently work for the Pew Charitable Trusts as a Director of State Fiscal Policy. I oversee research and outreach on issues that impact the long-term fiscal health of state governments.

My wife Jennifer and I have three children: William (9 years old), Charlotte (6), and Daniel (4). They keep us busy. I have coached soccer for oldest son’s team, and I am a Webelos Den Leader. I also enjoy playing pick-up soccer and cycling. I highly recommend riding the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD -- a beautiful and well-maintained rail trail. When I have time I enjoy reading, both mystery novels (particularly those written by my brother Rich Zahradnik) and non-fiction.
